Highlights from some of the events.

One of the guests said, Missionary, I walked away from God.  How do I get back to Him? I gave her a hug, told her that I loved her and escorted her to our chaplain. She walked away happy and smiling.  The next time I saw her was when we delivered donated furniture to her home.  She smiled and said she was doing better. God truly loves us.  - July 2012

The predicted winter snow storm almost caused us to cancel the Christmas event.  God instructed me to do it anyway.  One of the guests said, I thank you for listening to God. This is my only meal for the day. The storm did not start until after the event ended. What an act of God.   - December 2013

One of the guests came in with tears in her eyes saying that she felt she was not worthy of God's love. A volunteer and I counseled her by reminding her who God Is. She shouted with joy and praised Him and left.  She came in thinking her blessing was to leave with something in her hands, but she left with God's love massaging her heart. God’s Love is amazing.  - July 2014

The May 14, 2016 Charity Is Love Event was held at the Greater Harvest Worldwide Ministries in Trenton, New Jersey. The church and Gwendolyn Miller Charities, Inc. came together by giving a cookout along with a give-away of clothes, furniture, toys and household items. We had a great time! Take a look at the video of our event by clicking on Youtube. - May 2016

The Power of the Lord showed out again! The highlight of the event, was how God provided funding for the event. Some of our donors were able to come together and supply the money for the expenses of the event. How awesome is that! Another highlight was having Santa and Mrs.Claus hand out the gifts to the children. The adults were excited too! - December 2016

The special highlight for this event was the donation of fresh fruit & vegetables, and beef jerky donated by the Rolling Harvest Food Rescue; and the 150 drawstring school bags with supplies donated by the Nordson Foundation. A special thank you to Transformation Church of Trenton, NJ for joining with us to organize this event. View the photos of this event on Facebook - August 2017

The warming of the heart for this event was being able to distribute food and water to the homeless people at the train station, feeding the children that attend the West Ward Recreation Center that had nothing to eat and feeding the seniors citizens at the North 25 apartment complex. The Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) provided 600 lunches for the event. Also, we sent twenty-five hot dinners prepared by Ben's Deli of Morrisville, PA to the senior citizens of Ewing Independent Living. - July 2018

The highlight for the August event was a cookout for the homeless. We partnered with the organizations: WE R One, Trenton, Inc., New Salem Baptist Church and Beauties In Motion. This was a different experience for Gwendolyn Miller Charities, Inc. Being right in the homeless environment servicing the less fortunate was very heart warming. They were patient, respectful and thankful as they received their hygiene bags. We look forward to bringing them future gifts.- August 2018

Working with Grace Community Church was indeed a pleasure. The church provided bags of groceries for the community. This event was special because the church was located in the area where my father ran a store when I was in my youth. It made it seem as though we truly gave back to our community. - February 2019
